Pet Care/Jungle and Circus camp Weeks!!

Week Three Pet Care & Jungle Camp 7/7-7/11

Now is the Time To Teach Them To:

Teach about Pet Care, bathing, brushing, grooming, feeding of all animals. Children will get the opportunity to feed the animals on the farm and bring their pet one day to share! They will also learn about animals in the jungle, the desert and the wetlands. It is also survivor week with a different challenge each day!

Pet Care Day!
Talk about our pets, different types of pets verses wild animals, and meet the animals of the farm. Start our own pet care booklet, and create Marshmallow Monkeys & Zoo animal masks!
Outdoor Activities: Interacting with our farm animals, The pig races, Playing with Rex, the dog. Caring for bunnies, doves and other animals on the farm.
Survivor challenge: Get ready for rough weather!!
Snack: Dog biscuit  shaped cookies & Milk/juice/H2O

Birds, Ducks, Parrots, and Feathered friends.
Learn about birds, there habitat, chickens and other feathered friends today! Build your own zoo contest!!
Photos taken today with parrots, doves and chickens. Create your own parrot/bird  marionettes today!
Outdoor Activities: Feed animals on the farm, caring and cleaning today! Then it's Fun with water time!
Survivor Challenge: The Wood Pile Challenge!
 Squirt gun battle, water balloon toss, and duck carnival game with prizes!
Snack: Peanuts in the shells, sunflower seeds, chex mix. Juice/H2O

Bring Your Pet Day!!
Bring your pet to camp today. Must be in cage or on a leash! Kennel available for dogs requiring one. We will share about our pets, allow others to interact with our pets and share stories about our pets. Photos of pets welcomed also! Please only docile pets allowed.
Outdoor Activities: We will spend most of the class interacting with our pets and learning about them from their owners. We will play games with some of them and feed others.  A craft for the child's pet will be available to them to participate if time allows.
Survivor Challenge!  Catch the chicken game!!
Snack: Fruits and Ritz Crackers. Juice/H2O

It's a Jungle Out There!!
Come dressed as your favorite jungle animal today!
Children will go on a safari through the forest looking for wild animals (stuffed ,of course!)  Children will shoot a fake bow and arrow, look for  Giant snakes,(also stuffed ,of course!) Work on Pet Care Booklets, Design a jungle frame for their photos, and play in a jungle band!
Outdoor Activities: Jungle Boogie, Rope swinging challenge, and doggie, doggie, where's your bone game!
Survivor Challenge: scavenger hunt
Snack: Graham crackers, bananas and milk/juice/H2O

7/11
Children will bake their own pet treats! Animal shaped cookies for themselves and decorate them! Children will see the jungle movie by Disney! Enjoy popcorn and soft drinks!
Outdoor Activities include bounce house, bubble making and children"s nature trail with dinosaur dig &  teepee building !

Week Four Circus Camp 7/14-7/18
Now is the Time To Teach Them To:

Expand their creativity, bring out the child's showmanship and teach each child how to entertain with confidence, style and imagination! Children will learn about the circus and circus acts, choose a character/circus act and perform at the end of the week for our Circus Show!

Clowning around with Giggles!
Giggles will appear in full costume for today's class! Giggles will discuss clowning and all that goes in to being a performer and the skills necessary to be a clown. Children will learn to make balloon animals, do face painting, and learn one magic trick to perform at home. Children will start to think about which performer in the circus they would like to be, and begin creating ideas for their act, costumes, make-up, props, music etc.
Outdoor Activity: Craft: Begin making masks for circus act.  Bounce house fun, and learn how the popcorn, sno-cone and cotton candy machines work.
Dodge ball game with Giggles .
Snack: Circus animal cookies and Milk/Juice

7/15
Children will continue to work on their costumes, and props for circus show. Large Paper Sacks for each child to create a life-size costume available with paints, crayons, and markers. Children will learn party games and break into a pinata today!
Giggles will assist with each child for 5-10min, with putting together their circus act!
Outdoor Activity: Participate in carnival games and make your own carnival game to take home! Craft: Clown lifesaver dolls
Snack: Froot loops, cheerios for stringing snack necklaces!

7/16
Animals of the Circus!
Children will discuss circus animals, acts and circus stories. Children will paint their own circus animal picture outside on the easels. Children will continue to work on their acts and costumes. Create marshmallow circus animals.
Outdoor Activity: Trampoline fun and balance beam
Snack: corn dog & Juice/H2O

7/17
create a carnival scene from rubber stamps. Each child will receive their own circus theme rubber stamp collection! Create your own lollipop tree game. Prepare scenery for Fridays show! Stage set up.
Outdoor Activity: Enter guesses for jelly bean guess, gumball guess and other contests for Friday!

Snack: Fruit Rollups and Juice

7/18
CIRCUS SHOW DAY!! PARENTS ARE WELCOMED.
Show starts at 10:00am-11:oopm with a lite lunch and concessions run by children. Come join the fun!!
Afternoon Show is at 2:00pm-3:00pm with a lite supper and concessions run by the children from 3-4. Carnival games are also available to parents and siblings. Bring the family to the circus today!! Great for grandparents too!
